The Girls Visit Wats

After visiting the schools this lady at my school asked if we were going to visit Wat Lampang Luang....the most famous Wat in Lampang....I said no because it s pretty far out of town and we were not too sure how to get there....five minutes later she comes running after me with a map that she drew of the 'shortcut' to get to the wat and tells us that we will go through many rice fields....okay...we are up to the adventure...it was awesome...we found a couple of wats on the way before we got to Wat Lampang Luang....it was the first exposure to the wats for the girls and soo amazing!!!

As we were taking their picture these Thai ladies wanted a picture with the girls!! They kept telling them how beautiful they are!!!

Inside is a massive Green Jade like Buddha!


Evy and I are both Reclining Buddhas since we were born on Tuesdays....Meg is Alms Bowl Buddha because she was born on Wednesday.


This is gigantic!!!


The chedi is covered with wishes of people who have donated and wrote on the cloth...then the cloth is wrapped around the chedi...this is for Loy Krathong....


Some Thai dude shoved his kid into Megan's arms and started snapping pictures...so I did the same too!!! They just loved her!!!

Shawn and I are always amazed at how old things are here at the wat...it is almost unfathomable to us....I don't think that the girls found it all that amazing about the age...but liked the wat...but after 2 of them they were watted out!!
