Headed to Sukhothai

We rose early and went to breakfast in the guesthouse before catching the bus to Sukhothai. At breakfast we met a nice American from Fargo and his Thai wife. Scott Jones was his name and he runs 'Give and Live' a non-profit that helps Thai orphans. he gave us some great info about Chiang Mai for the Loi Krathong Festival, where to rent motorbikes, and what roads to drive around Chiang Mai. He is a musician as well and plays at the Garden Cafe on Sundays. he asked that we call him when back in Chiang Mai and to come see him play.
We caught the bus to Sukhothai and saw the largest Krathong in the waters of the old city. Check out some info on the festival http://www.thaiworldview.com/feast/kratong.htm .
